I love Bruce Mau Designs and I love his philosophies on life, design, and a good working environment. In addition to wonderful design (he's pretty much mine and my boyfriend's idol) you really should check out his INCOMPLETE MANIFESTO FOR GROWTH.
Just learned about Zookeeper today when they added me on Twitter, but they seem to be a wonderful design firm! I highly recommend checking out their site and work.
