ART CAMPS FOR KIDS IN RURAL MISSISSIPPI

I wanted to share an amazing organization that is helping bring art to kids in rural Mississippi.  The Yoknapatawpha Arts Council is bringing art back into children's lives by hosting art camps that teach the children how to make small pieces of art with very little supplies.  They teach kids how to create art trading card out of magazines and found objects, and how to collage. Not only is this an amazing cause for the sake of the children's art skills, but teaching them to conserve and manipulate the world around them really got me interested in this organization as well.

The Yoknapatawpha Arts Council needs help keeping their Art To Go project going, and with a little help from us they can continue doing their wonderful work. They currently have an Indie Go Go campaign running, but only for 65 more hours!  Anything that can be given to this cause will be much appreciated, and make sure to check out the Perks of Your Contribution on the right side of their page.

Here are some photos of the last Art To Go mobile camp!
