Round II of Bohemian Style Inspiration is here! As I've stated before (see original post here), I'm more of a sleek modern type of decorator, but I have to say that I love adding some bohemian inspired pieces into my usually mid-century modern/industrial aesthetic. I also love to add a little bohemian touch to my personal style. A piece of jewelry or a cute purse can really add some visual interest to your style.
Several of these products are recycled, too! Love that!
My Woodland Creatures Vector Pack is now available in the shop! The download is a Zip file that includes 4 SVG vectors- 1 fox, 1 owl, 1 raccoon, and 1 bear. These adorable vectors would be great in a variety of projects, and are yours to keep and reuse. Just please do not share the file, share the link!
I hope you enjoy, and if you purchase them and use them in a project, post a link! I'd love to see how they're used.
My printable birthday cards have launched! There are five cards so far (adding more this week), and they are sold separately for $2 a piece, but there's also a 4-pack set for $5. These are great for printables because they use minimal ink. In my search for inspiration I found a lot of beautiful designs, but very few were practical. Let's face it, ink isn't cheap, but with these you don't have to compromise design while conserving ink.
Be sure to check back periodically because I'll be offering some of these for free for limited spans of time!
I've decided to start making some printables, some will be free, some will cost a small fee, and today I'm premiering my first printable, and it's FREE!
This design is a simple typographic 2017 calendar (yeah I know, month 2 is upon us... but the cool thing is you can print single pages so it really doesn't matter).
Here is a preview, and I hope you enjoy this calendar!
A couple of years ago I was on this #startwithpositive kick on Instagram. I'd make quick memes with words of inspiration to help myself, and others, start with positive intentions. I must admit when I was younger I was definitely a negative person. Over the years I've improved myself and my life to fight the negativity and depression, and I will admit it is not easy. Humans tend to go the negative route in many situations, even people who would label themselves as a "positive" or "happy" person have plenty of down moments. This is just being human. I do believe we can overcome that and reset ourselves. Let's face it, the world tends to be an overwhelmingly cruel place, but I do see a more positive world emerging.Read More
In today's throw-away culture it's always refreshing to see innovative designs that repurpose items. This is exactly what The Burse (a clever play on purse, but don't let that discourage you fellows) is all about. The Burse is the creation of Knoxville resident and artist Mike Pitz, founder and owner of Pitzco and co-founder of Second Saturday Under The Bridge. Created from repurposed plastic bank tubes retrofitted with straps, The Burse is not only stylish, but durable. It has also been engineered to conveniently open without spilling your items.
The totally original, limited edition Burse, is multifunctional and great for any occasion that calls for carrying items. From festivals and concerts, to bike rides and camping, The Burse can get your items there with style and convenience.
Remember, The Burse is a limited edition item, and once Pitzco is done with them, they'll be gone!
Additional colors will also be rolled out periodically, so be sure to check back for your favorite colors!
Here are some abstract photographs I've recently taken. I'll admit, I've always wanted to be a painter, but I have very little patience for fine art. So, what's the solution? I decided to take photos of substances and manipulate the substances on a plate, then edit the photos.
Here are the Start With Positive designs from the past few weeks. Life has been happening, so I haven't kept up with them as much as I was, but I'm OK with that! Below are the ones I've created and posted recently, please feel free to share these! That's the point, share the positivity and Start With Positive!

As a freelancer it's important for me to have a functional and comfortable space to work from. It's taken me about a month to set it up how I like it, but I feel like it's time to present it to the world. So, welcome to my home office!
From here I do everything from design work, to writing, to photography, to blogging, to jewelry making, and any other creative endeavor I happen to take on. Since setting up the space I definitely feel like I've become more productive, and having a designated space keeps me creative. True to form, my style is a mix of masculine and feminine, and if I weren't renting, those walls would be a nice light gray!Read More
Let's face it, I haven't always been the most positive person in the world. In fact, I used to be downright negative. I suffered from depression, anxiety, and an overall sense of "who gives a f*@k". Now, at almost 30 years old, I've begun to really change that attitude. Why? Because it is an attitude. I used to buy into the pharmaceutical companies pusher idea of depression medicines, but then I began to learn about energy, positive reinforcement, affirmations, yoga, meditation, and I became a full time vegetarian. What does all of this have to do with one another? It helped me get to the point where I kicked the meds and started living my life. Is it easy? NO. Is it rewarding? YES. Will it work for you? That's up to you. I can't say that anything is a fix all, but now I realize that 99% of my depression was my outlook. I'm not going to go into all the specifics, but to simplify it, you are energy. We are all energy, thoughts are energy, and we have no idea how powerful we really are. We can direct our thoughts towards positive thinking or take the easy route and wallow in self-pity. And yes, self-pity is always the easy route, but it's the bypass to life.Read More
Seriously people, carts are not trash cans. Stop throwing your trash in them. The next person to use said cart does not appreciate your trash.

I've recently been doing a little bit of design work for myself, just to keep things fresh and beef up my portfolio a bit. When creating these I was thinking about them in terms of movie design, so they're basically posters for fake movies.
If you'd like to see more of my work please visit my portfolio.
I've really been drawn to Bohemian style recently (I'm still a sleek modern gal just incorporating some other styles), and I thought I'd find some inspiration that could help you add a little Bohemian style to your life! I love all the colors and textures, and I think that's what's really drawing me in.
Enjoy the selection, and if you'd like to share photos of your Bohemian style, we'd all love to see them!
