If you saw me walking down the street, you’d form assumptions about me. Naturally you’d see I’m a white female, you’d probably venture that I’m American, and you’d probably assume I’m straight. You’d probably assume I’m educated by how I dress or if perhaps you heard me speak. You might assume all these things, and you’d be correct, but that’s the least of it. At the end of the day, when all is said and done, I see a human. I’m simply a human inhabiting this planet with my fellow humans. I don’t side with someone because they are white. I don’t side with someone because they’re a woman or straight or educated or an American. I side with people, I unite with people because they are human- just like me.
I’m so tired of living in a world where we’re set against each other because of who we seem to be. Truth is, nothing matters other than being a human, and I could break it further down to a living being, but for the sake of this I’ll stick with human.
I don’t care about what color or gender or sexual orientation or nationality or religion or any other “defining” characteristic you might identify with. I don’t see that stuff or frankly care about it. I only care that you’re a decent, loving, kind human. That goes to say if you’re a jerk, well I don’t like you, but I still identify with you as my brother or sister.
You see, we’re all here in this madness together, and until we start acting like it we’re going to continue to live in madness. It’s not meant to be this way, contrary to what you might have been force fed your whole life. We’re not supposed to hate each other, we’re supposed to live in harmony. There are powers, a small fraction of people, who have pit you against your brothers and sisters, created separation, taught us to prey on each other, and done a pretty fantastic job of creating chaos.
The beauty to all of that, it’s artificial. It’s no different then using Splenda or Equal your whole life and finding out it’s made of horrible chemicals and switching to real forms of sugar. Yes, I just used a food analogy, but it truly is the same. Just as those corporations deceived you into believing Splenda and Equal are better options, these people have deceived you into believing in separation. It’s a fight we’ve been battling for centuries, it’s as old as time, and it’s insane it has lasted this long.
Now is the time to realize that we’re all in this together, and if we’d stop working against each other, and start working with each other, we could change it overnight.
Stop believing in separation because the truth is it’s artificial and it’s only here to use you.
